CNN Layoffs Are Happening Across Warner Brothers Discovery
Warner Brothers Discovery, the company that owns CNN and other media assets, is in debt. Chris Licht had initially been given the impression that the cuts would not materially affect CNN. But most significantly, there are layoffs happening across Warner Brothers Discovery because they've got something like $50 billion in debt. It seems like a lot of these layoffs so far at least are targeting a lot of paid contributors.
