My husband and I bought an old farmhouse in the neighborhood that I grew up in. We lived there for almost a year when we caught COVID. The first few months were smooth sailing, everyone loved our little home. But then one night my husband started turning off all of the lights around the house. He told me it was because he had forgotten to leave any on since we left daylight. My blood ran cold as I felt this heavy weight on the mattress next to me like someone had sat on the mattress.
