Paten: It was interesting working with peyton caus he was assisting me, and then we made a pact very early on that in order for him to grow and become an editor, he would need to cut every single scene. One thing that i think is just great is when you have an editor who is willing to mentor their assistancs and really bring them up so that they can start editing. So not only do i like to bring up assistants, but i like to teach them to reach out to the sound mixer on day two,.
