Introduction
Bilateral Collateral Ligament or LCL injuries of the knee typically occur due to a sudden varus force. Diagnosis can be suspected with increased varus laxity on physical exam but requires MRI for confirmation. As far as demographics, isolated LCL injuries are most commonly seen in gymnasts and tennis players. The characteristics of the LCL is a tubular cord-like structure that is 2-3mm thick, 4-5mm wide, and 66mm in length.
