Halloween or All Hallows Eve?

Callie Louisa and Bell Buchanan on Instagram both wanted to know where this idea of Halloween or all Hallows Eve originated from. And whether any precursors to a slightly supernatural festival or is it very strongly based in the Christian tradition? This has been, this is a big debate. There's a lot that's been written right back to early anthropologists and early folk chorists in the late 19th century. So I'm not saying there wasn't a pre-Christian, you know, salarations, but it's that the evidence is thin.
