How to Treat DDH in Children
Treatment for DDH in children can be non-operative or operative. Abduction splinting, slash bracing or a Pavlok harness is indicated for patients less than 6 months old who have a reducible hip. Operative options include open reduction and spike a casting, open reduction and femoral osteotomy as well as open reduction and pelvic osteotomy.
