The Importance of Patience, Joy and Disinterestedness
I took almost two years off before doing this play from acting and that was a really important thing to kind of find that equilibrium again. I've been cultivating, over the last year or so, is like finding a way to approach the work, approach the process with patience, joy and disinterestedness. That's why you use the word disinterested in the beginning of this conversation. There's something that makes it about something bigger than yourself or my own motivations for wanting to do something. You separate the self a bit when you're middle-aged.
