The U.S. Engagement Policy With China Has Fail
The book grows out of many years of observing and, to an extent, participating in the debate in the united states over the direction of our policy towards china. Not everybody did get it wrong, but i do think the policys has failed. And so the purpose of the book was really to understand how we had each the point where we are now. What was it exactly that we thought we were doing when we began this approach about 30 years ago? And equally importantly, why is it that the policy failed? The third and most important set of questions has to do with what we should do next.
