There are four things that stop allah's punishments. The first is atobe, repentance. The second is istifar, seeking forgiveness. The third one is alamalsale el mucafira, the righteous deeds. And then he mentioned a fourth one, which is al masaib,. calamities that happen to people that wipe out their sins. So why did sherod islam mention this separate to the other three because so far we had one, two, three earlier on about two pages back? Because the first three are your in control. As for the last one, it's not in your control.
