The History of Soap Making

It took thousands of years after the invention of soap before we finally started to use it on ourselves. And then apparently it wasn't until after the Civil War, at least in the United States, that using soap really took off. Soap making and the soap making industry became like kind of a thing all around the same time. Life Boy, the one that Ralph hated so much? That one came out in 1895. They were the ones who coined the term body odor, B.O., as part of a marketing campaign to get you to actually buy in you soap.
