Did They Get Credit in Real Time for the Work They Did?
They were grossly underpaid, ah, in the early days, as were all their colleagues. But they felt ownership of the place in a different way than you would if you came into it later and got hired. It really was as if they were all meant to be friends, ah, much less colleagues. And they were that. Well, i would say actually more friends than colleagues at the end because they supported one another as husbands became ill and children were born and family needs came up.
