How to Be Highly Risky in Momentum Investing

Eric Kritnton: Momentum investing comes with a connotation of highly risky because the volatility of the underlying assets tends to be higher than average. Trend following need not be that at all, he says. In fact, trend following can be calibrated to have lower volatility or lower skew or lower drawdownsthan investments most people are already comfortable with. The practice in and of itself is neither risky nor risk list. It's how much you allow your exposure to be while you're managing those assets.
