I would say at least once a year, I'd recommend it with your spouse too. Take the $500, $100 for some books, $400 by two nights at a cool place and spend a day and a half really thinking about not granularly thinking about what you want to do. Do you want to be a real estate investor? Do you wants to be a passive stock investor? What do you want your family to look like five, 10, 20 years from now? Because that all dictates where you start putting your money when you have a little bit more margin and the income that you have coming in.
