Did the Prague Spring Play Into the Counterculture?

Counterculture is a worldwide phenomenon, or at least a Western worldwide phenomenon. It's seen to some extent in Central America and even into South America. The Prague Spring is not really generated by the counterculture, so much as an awareness that there are things from the West that are positive. You can see it with Vasliff Havel's embrace of 1960s music, particularly the Velvet Underground and Lou Reed.
