i'm always an optimist in the future of the united states because, and i'll tell you why. I mean it as a student of the desire to suppress people's natural inclination towards liberty and freedom. The desire by tyrants, faciss thugs, hooligans, dictators, despots, have almost always been overcome by the individual desire to be free. And once they figure out how to overcome the prisoner's dilemma, in other words, how to organize against a smaller group of people, cause the despots and the tyrants always have a smaller group than the population at large, they almost always fail.
