Jesus Says, "I Am"

In john's gospel, jesus makes it absolutely clear that he is not simply claiming to be a prophet. He is saying his deepest identity is to be one with the father. His deepest identity is that he shares the same being as the father. This is massive. But it also demands that jesus does these miracles. Why? Because any one can along and say, o hey, this is who i am, he then demonstrates it. And so we just ask the lord to help us to see, to help us have eyes that that don't turn away. We are people willing to walk in the light and not in the darkness.
