The Role of Multinationals in Negotiating Energy Contracts
Big multinationals that consume a lot of energy, sign big forward contracts for electricity. It's not because they're essentially buying the bolt. They use a lot of power, so they have buying power. Or is it to do it the way that this energy is acquired by the energy companies in that there's a lot of forward buying and hedging and so forth? The official reason is that it's a combination of those factors. And that is how they ensure preferable rates.
