The Myth of Atlantis
Plato was the first to come up with the idea of Atlantis, but there's no record of it anywhere else. The story occurs in two of his dialogues, Tameus and Kritius. But they are incomplete because Plato literally stopped writing them in mid-sentence. So we can't be absolutely sure what would have happened next. 'Atlantis is almost certainly an analogy for imperialist Athens of the 5th century'
