The Three Significant Visits to Syracuse
Plato visited Syracuse three times once when Dionysius I was the tyrant of Syracuse. He seems to have made some attempt to alter the constitution of Syracuse. The other most significant fact of Plato's life is that he founded the Academy in 383 BC. And then he died in 347.
