The Rule of Lenity
The RAINZ Act guts these federal agencies of their powers to make new laws and rules, which is gigantic. The rule of lenity says that when there is an ambiguity in a criminal statute the courts will interpret that statute more generous toward the would-be defendant. You've got to call your senator and your congressman and strengthen their spine and say to Congress, "Thank you for supporting this"
