The Rise and Fall of Rosa
The Montgomery Improvement Association was formed on December 5th, the same day as Rosa's trial. In 1964, Rosa cheered as Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act which got rid of Jim Crow laws. Time magazine named Rosa one of the 20 most important people of the 20th century. When Rosa died in 2005, 4,000 people attended her funeral.
