Cratus - The Crucifixion of Caesar
I don't think Cratus was unusually cruel, says historian. A mass display like that was sort of reminiscent really, almost of the gladiatorial games. So every crucifixion is a horrible and cruel thing, and many thousands is an extraordinary cruelty. And it was successful at least in ensuring that there was never really a serious slavery bell in again.
