What Is the Origin of Modern Human Empathy?

Before human humans had speech, a lot of the ways that they probably communicated was through mimicry of animal behaviors. So one of the questions i was keen to explore in the book was, when, when did all this er happen? At what point in our evolutionary history did eating meat, killing other animals, become ethical and emotionally complicated? And there am the earliest evidence r of this attention, i think, arises in our species at least forty thousand years ago.
