The Importance of IQ and Cognitive Ability in Predicting Success
Jeffrey Elmeld: A lot of the research that's been trying to predict success are trying to find these basic abilities that, you know, they think will actually make a difference once you reach higher levels. He says IQ and cognitive ability are quite predictive of how well you are doing as a beginner. But what's interesting is that when you acquire more skill, that those correlations disappear. That would sort of speak against the possibility here of actually predicting future performance.
