The Proleptics of Capitalism
In 1987, Thomas gave a speech at the Pacific Research Institute in San Francisco. He said that capitalism is not just a means to an end but also a moral good. The most avant-garde part of the conservative right isn't about campaign finance; it's something called commercial speech and jurisprudence. It used to have no protection at all under the First Amendment,. But it's come since the mid to late 1970s to get more and more protection.
