There was a wonderful story on ESPN recently about a pitcher Kershaw for the Los Angeles Dodgers who in his first couple of years had fairly average performance. And he went through an effort of how do I slow that down? How do I live in the moment, so to speak? That's not the phrase he used, but that's how I took out of it is how does he life in the moment pitch to pitch? He did that by slowing his thought process down.
