He says the author was involved in crime, selling drugs and burglaries at the same time as studying English-Lituary degree down the road from where he is now living. Gary: "He just presented these people as they are" - we see stereotyped images of gang members on the news but if you know these people often they come from backgrounds of trauma and backgrounds of abuse."
