The Fed's Optional Rate Hike in September
Next week the Fed is, it seems like a foregone conclusion here in the States. When you look ahead to August for the ECB, is it going to be maybe down to 25 basis points after this inflation print? So I think yes, Fed still plays a very key role when it comes to where terminal comes for more central banks. But we have had hawks even coming in last this week saying that there's no need to press that much on terminal. It is very much possible that we are done with one hike, but I think central banks right now, including Fed, wants to keep the optionality of going in September as well.
