How to Make Use of a Financial Advisor or Consultant
The best advisor should act as something of a behavioral psychologist, an educator, and a financial expert. An advisor cannot make promises about the future with any certainty, but they should do their best to give you the highest probability of meeting your goals and desires. You have to do those things for yourself. It's your responsibility to be your own behavioral psychologist. And if you think you can pay an advisor to do that, you're drinking Kool-Aid.
