The Advantages of Florescent Lights Over Incandescents

Fluorescent bulbs last longer, usually ten to 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs. They also generate less heat and diffuse light very well. But they can't be used with any sort of dimmer switch without special adjustments. Some people just swear by the fact that fluorescent lights generate a light that is unpleasant to them.
