Introduction
Developal dysplasia of the hip is a disorder of abnormal development resulting in dysplasia, subluxation, and possible dislocation. Diagnosis can be confirmed with ultrasonography in the first four months or risk radiographs after the femoral head ossification occurs at approximately four to six months. Treatment varies from Pavlic Bracing to Surgical Reduction and Osteotomies depending on the age of the patient,. The most common intrauterine position for DTH is left occiput anterior where the left hip is adducted against the mother's lumbosacral spine. Risk factors include unstretched uterus and tight abdominal structures compressing the uterus.
