Travel Agents and the Holidays of the 1950s
When did travel agents emerge and what kind of services did they offer in the early days? There were people who caused things like Vettrianos that you could appoint in on the continent when you arrived which would be paid guides. Thomas Cook was among the first not quite the first but almost the first to offer an all-in deal so he would give you your train ticket, accommodation and probably your food all-in as well as a guided tour. American History Tellers investigates assassination attempts that altered the course of United States history from Lincoln's killing to Reagan's close brush with death.
