The Federal Reserve's Negative Impact on Inflation
Most of the inflation that we saw early on last year was a direct result of the sanctions that were put on Russian export of energy. Core inflation, what really matters, is still running at about 5%. And one of the major drivers of that is wage inflation. The Federal Reserve can do very little to bring that inflation down unless they squash demand by creating unemployment.
