Charlie was only 13 years old when he killed his mother and shot his father who ended up surviving state law at the time prohibited criminal prosecution of minors under the age of 14 so a grand jury decided that he was not criminally responsible Charlie was evaluated by a mental health professional and was deemed to suffer from quote a serious psychiatric disorder. Charlie was committed for treatment at a psychiatric hospital in Indianapolis which gosh it's just it's so hard but I'm glad that he hopefully is getting the help he needed but obviously it's not gonna turn out it's just hard.
