Eight eunuchs were to be executed for plotting against the emperor. They had been framed by a group of senior officials and grand secretaries. The head eunuch, Leojin, was given an audience with the Emperor on 20th october. But when he opened up the petition they discovered that it called for their deaths. He immediately rounded up seven of the eight tigers and took them to see him. After hearing his side of the story, all but one offered their resignations from office. Four days later leogin's new director of ceremonies named taang fang died in car crash while en route to capital.
