The FAA's Response to COVID
We don't yet know whether experience in the cockpit was a factor in this year's incidents. But from a systems perspective, we know that the system is showing serious signs of strain and the FAA is responding to that. Boeing and Airbus both would like to deliver and produce more airplanes to actually deliver to airlines like United. Cramming too many airplanes into a system that is having trouble with ones that are already there is definitely something that should give everyone pause.
