The Great Acceleration

John mc neil is co author of the great acceleration, an environmental history of the anthroposene since 19 forty five. He serves as university professor at georgetown university and a past president of the american ety for environmental history. The term "great acceleration" was coined by will stephan during a conference in Berlin two thousand years ago. It's now used to refer to sudden expansion in fossil fields, human population, rivers dammed around the world.
