Sailors Make the Most, I Guess, in Prize Money
For a normal sailor it was a case of a few shillings. A lot of captains ended up with these massive, stately homes ashore,. They'd bought with the amount of prize money they'd made. So officers seem do quite well avit. If you are a everyday sailor, it's not going to make you rich, no- butit would be little addition, i guess, to your if you got on to a ship that was pretty pretty nifty.
