More than one in every five homes as of the end of last year was purchased by a corporation. The Fed decided they were going to give a gift to Wall Street, and that was going to be abundant, cheap capital through their policy of artificially suppressing interest rates. Think about if you don't own your home, and now you have to rent that from one of these corporations which are backed by all of the big financial companies.
