The Nature of Sexual Asymmetry

Women have evolved to be a lot pickier about who they have sex with. This is something you see in other species as well that have a similar kind of asymmetry. It's much easier to kind of turn women off sexually than men. Women are really reluctant to have sex with someone who they think looks sick or, you know, in any way looks like they might be carrying a disease. That's probably partly to do with the fact that women are more vulnerable to getting STDs and also thinking about not passing diseases onto their children through pregnancy and breastfeeding.
