Ryan says he has been taking a step back from real estate to focus on other things in his life. He also talks about the 'wealthy way' and why it's so hard for investors to do exactully. And finally, what motivates him now that he is 30?
On today’s podcast I had none other than Investor Girl Britt on! If you don’t know who she is, she’s very popular on instagram for her DIY videos. She has fixed up 27 homes in Canada on her own, while living in a van made in 1995! She was living at the properties fixing them up and creating content along the way. As she has grown in her career, she started getting into self storage, raising capital, education, and a whole bunch of things! I’ve had the privilege to know her since 2019 when her and I met at a Maui mastermind held by Brandon Turner. During this event, she actually influenced me to get on social media much heavier than I was doing. At the time, I only had an Instagram and it wasn’t even very big. She said, “ I think you would be very good at creating content and you could really grow your brand if you just focused on it.” I took that to heart and sure enough, the last few years have been pretty good! I give a lot of credit to her as my spark for doing that. We reminisce on that moment, and one of the things I’ve actually taught her back then that’s really helping her in her career now. I think overall, you’re going to take a lot of different things from her story that you could relate to, especially if you’re one of those people who does everything yourself and you have a tough time letting that go.
