Is the Court Good at Dealing With Technology?
CNN's John Sutter asks what you think about the court's performance when it comes to providing minimal guardrails. He says in some cases, such as Riley versus California and Carpenter, courts seem to grasp that technology has advanced too far for them to keep up. But he says they tend to limit their decisions to the facts of those cases; Jones is a good example.Sutter: If legislatures were prodded by courts to do the right thing, they could change the law in a year or two years.
