The Effects of the Teamsters Strike on UPS
In the late 90s, UPS lost hundreds of millions of dollars in business when Teamsters went on strike. The company also knows that if there's a strike, they could lose business to their competitors. Another big issue here is subcontracting. And I think other carriers would really like to have more of that business.
