The Subtle Nature of English Society and Culture
Some saw the book as a sort of middle finger salute as you left England. It was conceived and certainly first draft done long before we even mentioned moving to America. But it's written with affection for what though? For England, for the English. What I miss most in America is the Americans just as tolerant and generous as I think most English people are British people.
