In honor of veterans sday, we'll talk about words from world war too. And in honor of national novel writing month, will talk about how places get their names. A few months ago, i participated in a game show fund raiser for the noah webster house with a bunch of other language people. It was there that peter sakalowski made an off handed comment about world war two being a rich source of new words.
