Natalia Lomanosova and her then 13-year-old daughter Dasha were forced to do the same as Russia launched an offensive against their home city, Kyiv. "At 5 in the morning we woke up our dogs start barking and I hear this bombing," she says. The family spent three days 'totally in shock' before finding shelter at a synagogue.
