The Indications for Surgery in Elderly Patients

The achine osteotomy is indicated in the setting of a haliczvagus interphalangius, a congruent joint with a DMAA of less than 10 degrees. A lapidus procedure which is a first metatarsal cuneiform arthrodesis with a modified McBride and another option is an MTPArthrodesis. Haliczvagus can be treated for cerebral palsy, down syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, severe degenerative joint disease, and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. For moderate haloxvagus you will do a proximal metatarsal osteotomy plus or minus a distal osteotomy.
