How to Use the Word Put

Toss is like a light throw, but you can actually use it to mean put as well. So for example, if I say to you, Lindsey, where does this go? Oh, just toss it in that box over there. Or can you toss my mail on the counter when you get in later? Yeah. This isn't this kind of has an error of like not necessarily being delicate with something. It's just kind of like, oh, just tossing it on the table.
