Is This Game Just Not Grabping?

The game gets off to a slow start, with two straight hours of uncharted climbing and stealth. The early te tutorial section is not open world at all. It doesn't get any of the stuff you actually like about horizon until over the two hour mark. There is no real investment in why aloy should really care about any of this,. other than she has to help them out to get on with her mission.
