The Second Adam

Christ is the second Adam, I've always found that to be one of the more interesting things in sort of the way redemption plays out. A lot of times we view Christ dying sort of like to give us this clean slate or this second chance but it's not like that at all. There's a big difference between Christ dying so you could have a do-over and Christ dying so it can be finished. This is what active righteousness is all about in the life of Christ.
